AGC Houston Hosts 2023 Annual Meeting

On February 1, 2023, more than 260 AGC Houston members gathered at the Junior League of Houston for our Annual Chapter Meeting, which featured speakers, Steve Sandherr, President of Associated General Contractors of America, and Corbin Van Arsdale, President of the Texas Building Branch Agc.

At the event, we presented the Standard of Excellence award to John Morvant of Tellepsen. Established in 1998, this prestigious award gives special recognition to an outstanding construction industry employee who exemplifies the highest standards of excellence. The award criteria is based on commitment to teamwork, professionalism, leadership, creativity and innovation, customer and community service, and passion for the industry.

In addition, we also presented the William H. Scott III Volunteer of the Year Award to Tara Kirkland of Ashton Sawing & Drilling, LLC. In honor of the AGC’s only two-time Board Chair, and longtime member volunteer, the William H. Scott III Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a member who has gone above and beyond to help support the chapter and industry.
