Are you passionate about supporting veterans in the construction industry and interested in taking a more active leadership role within AGC Houston? Applications are now open for the 2027 Veterans in Construction Steering Committee!

The AGC Houston Veterans in Construction Steering Committee is dedicated to supporting and connecting military veterans working in the commercial construction industry. Our mission is to build a strong community that promotes professional development, mentorship, outreach, and recognition for veterans while encouraging their active involvement within AGC Houston.

We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference, bringing fresh ideas to the table, and helping us continue to grow this important initiative.

What Does Serving on the Steering Committee Entail?

Steering Committee members play an important role in guiding the direction of AGC Houston's Veterans in Construction initiatives, supporting committee programs, and creating meaningful opportunities for veterans throughout the industry.

Members should be prepared to:

• Serve a two-year term.
• Attend monthly Steering Committee meetings, unless otherwise agreed upon by the committee. 
• Actively participate in committee meetings, discussions, decision-making, and planning efforts.
• Maintain consistent meeting attendance. 
• Represent an AGC Houston member company as part of the committee's General Contractor or Subcontractor/Affiliate/Associate representation.
