Annual Mid-Year Safety Meeting
Featuring Keynote Speaker Rich McElhaney, CSP, CRIS, MS
๐ Junior League of Houston | 1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, TX 77027
Join us for our Annual Mid-Year Safety Meeting—an impactful morning dedicated to honoring safety excellence and exploring proven safety practices. This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Rich McElhaney, an internationally recognized safety expert with over 26 years of experience in health and safety management.
๐น Keynote Presentation: “The Real Cost of Safety”
Rich McElhaney offers a powerful, no-nonsense look at the true impact of workplace incidents—from the personal toll on families and coworkers to the broader implications for companies. He will share six key accident reduction techniques that have proven most effective in his three decades in the safety field.
One of the major highlights of his presentation is a deep dive into the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)—a tool that’s often underutilized or treated as a formality. Rich will discuss how to re-energize your team's approach to JSAs and use them as your company’s “safety language” to build a culture of accountability and prevention.
With vivid storytelling, including a real-life injury case from one of his projects, Rich will illustrate how proactive safety planning could have changed everything—and how it eventually did.
