Time Is Running Out To Register for the Final OSHA 30-Hour in Construction Training of the Year! October 1 - 22, 2026 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM AGC Houston 3825 Dacoma St., Houston, TX 77092 This OSHA 30-Hour in Construction course is a four-week, in-person class that meets every Thursday. It is presented by AGC Houston's authorized instructor(s) and is designed for project management, site supervision, and field employees in the construction industry. Many owners are now requiring that on-site supervision obtain the 30-Hour construction outreach training program as an orientation to occupational safety and health covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Time Is Running Out To Register for Our New and Improved Introduction to Construction Plan Reading & Specification Documents Course!
This in-person, five-session course introduces participants to the fundamentals of reading and understanding commercial construction plans and specification documents. Using a current commercial construction drawing set, participants will learn how the different disciplines work together and how to locate, interpret, and coordinate information across a complete set of construction documents.
Classes will be held on five consecutive Mondays: October 12, 19, 26, November 2 and 9, 2026.
Course Objectives Through instructor-led discussion and hands-on plan-reading exercises, participants will learn how to:
The course progresses from foundational concepts to hands-on application, concluding with practical exercises that require participants to navigate and interpret information across the construction document set.

Trades Day introduces high school students to career opportunities in construction, design, subcontracting, heavy equipment, engineering, and other skilled trades. We encourage our partners from the skilled trades, industry, training, and post-secondary programs to join us in inspiring local students to pursue careers in construction. Bring a hands-on activity that allows students to experience all the industry has to offer. Teach them how to swing a hammer, mix cement, scale a wall for roofing, or put on PPE and try welding.
