The Deadline to Enter Projects in AGC Houston’s APEX Awards Has Been Extended to May 15
Deadline for Entries:
The deadline to enter your project in AGC Houston’s APEX Awards is now Friday, May 15 at 5:00 PM. All incomplete submissions need to be submitted and paid for by this date. Entries will not be accepted after this time.
Eligibility:
Members (General Contractors and Specialty Contractors) of the Houston Chapter, Associated General Contractors may submit any project(s) completed between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2026.
Projects submitted must be located in the AGC Houston Chapter territory. Counties include Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Freestone, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Leon, Madison, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, Washington, Wharton and the west half of Liberty.
To begin the submission process, you will need to create an OpenWater account. If you participated in the 2024 APEX Awards, you can use the same login.
Submission Criteria:
Projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Contribution to the community and/or environment
- Safety record
- Quality of the management process in serving the client
- Completion within time and budget factors
- Challenges presented/addressed
- Why this project should be considered for an award

Stand-Down Demonstrations on Fall Protection
Prevent construction falls! Join AGC Houston's 2026 Fall Prevention Stand Down Campaign by taking the time to talk to your teams about fall prevention. This two-week period allows companies the flexibility to schedule safety demonstrations and toolbox talks on multiple jobsites. Again this year, AGC member consultants and vendors are available to come out to your event to talk about fall prevention or any safety hazard that is relevant to your operation. Don't forget to share those photos and participation numbers!
